  • 6 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 5 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 15 oz canned tomatoes ,diced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 bay leaf (optional)


1Heat olive in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and cook for 2-3 minutes; stirring frequently.2Add garlic, ground beef, salt and pepper and cook on medium-high; breaking the meat apart with a wooden spatula for 7-8 minutes or until crumbled.3Add tomatoes, cabbage, bay leaf, thyme, oregano, paprika and broth. Bring to a boil then reduce to simmer. Cook for 25 minutes, until the cabbage is cooked and tender.4Season with salt and black pepper. Serve warm.
