    - [Instructor] So far, we've look at calling out the recovery vehicle to our broken down car and obtaining help when things go wrong. Now we need to start the diagnosis and troubleshooting the problem. One of the first things that we need to consider is whether a device is broken or just misbehaving. The issue could be down to a hardware fault or due to a faulty or incorrect device driver that the hardware relies upon. The hardware within a device is any of the physical components inside the computer. This can include the motherboard, the CPU, the memory, power supply, and hard drive. Any issues with any one of these components will result in a call to the Help Desk asking for support and would typically require a replacement item. However, with peripherals, the problem could lie with the hardware or the device driver.
